Design Specification Powder coating is available for the Aluminium parts of your staircase. The process involves coating the parts with a powder paint and then placing in a high temperature oven to give a stoved finish. A choice of colours are available ex-stock and special colours can be arranged. Prices on application All aluminium parts are manufactured from aluminium ingots which conform to BS1490 (aluminium). The centre pole is made of steel (conforming to BS1387) and along with the handrail is primed with red oxide ready for painting. If your staircase has to comply with building regulations consult either with our technical department or with your local council. We will be happy to liaise with the building control on your behalf if necessary. When you are ready to proceed, fully details must be submitted to us in writing.
